Rasmus Kramer Mikkelsen

Rasmus is an orthopaedic surgeon, with an interest in Sports surgery and medicine.

Having been a professional basketball player during his time as a medical student, it was natural to pursue the interest in Sports injuries and science. Graduated from Copenhagen University in 2010 as an Cand. Med. Rasmus has completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Hvidovre-Amager in May 2018.

Recently added to SORC-C and Sports traumatic team on a one year fellowship, his focus will be to develop his arthroscopic skills and taking part in two clinical research studies.

  • Joint preserving treatment of arthritic knee with Adipose derived stem cells and Autologous
  • Achilles tendon rupture. 


  • Treatment of Osteoarthritis with Autologous, Microfragmented Adipose Tissue. A Randomized Controlled Trial.
  • Calcaneus stilling ved immobilisering af talocruralledet i spidsfod. Sammenligning af forskellige bandageringsformer til brug efter akut akillesseneruptur.
