About
Niclas is an orthopaedic consultant surgeon at the National Hospital of the Faroe Islands. He became involved with SORC-C in 2020 when he started the research project "The Faroese Knee Cohort," a national study investigating the prevalence, aetiology, and impact of patellar dislocation and trochlear dysplasia in the Faroe Islands. In 2023, Niclas was admitted to the PhD program at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Health Sciences. His main supervisor is Kristoffer Barfod, former member of SORC-C. Professor Per Holmich, lead of the SORC-C group, has co-authored several of Niclas's scientific articles.
Niclas is currently stationed in the Faroe Islands but works 2 months/year at Hvidovre University Hospital.
