Focus
The pediatric physiotherapists collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to diagnose and initiate early interventions, ensuring that each child is provided with the best conditions for leading a fulfilling childhood based on their individual circumstances.
Hospitalized Patients:
Assessment of premature infants born before the 32nd week of gestation. Guidance for parents on handling their children to facilitate motor and sensory development.
Early initiation of treatment and guidance for newborns with birth complications.
Early mobilization and guidance in Activities of Daily Living for children and parents after orthopedic surgical procedures, including assessment of functional capacity and the need for additional rehabilitation.
Initiation of respiratory physiotherapy for children with respiratory complications in a multidisciplinary setting.
Systematic testing and assessment of children with neurological symptoms and delayed motor function.
Outpatients:
Systematic testing of premature infants when they reach 3 months adjusted age.
Investigation, assessment, and treatment of children with complex orthopedic and neurological symptoms, in close collaboration with pediatricians.
Systematic testing and assessment of children with delayed motor function.
Specialized physiotherapy for children requiring close collaboration with pediatricians and orthopedic surgeons, such as children with torticollis.
Participation in CPOP (Cerebral Palsy follow-up Program) interdisciplinary consultations for children aged 0-18 years with Cerebral Palsy undergoing rehabilitation in the community.

Participation in research programs across Hospitals in the Capital Region of Denmark: Neuro Imaging of Babies during natural Sleep to assess typical development and Cerebral Palsy (NIBS-CP)
