Focus
Hospitalized Patients:
Assessment of premature infants born before the 32 th week of gestation.
Guidance for parents on handling their children to facilitate motor and sensory development.
Early initiation of treatment and guidance for newborns with birth complications.
Assessment and treatment of eating disorders focusing on enhancing infant and parent abilities to engage in mealtime activity.
Assessment and guidance in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) for children and parents after orthopedic surgical procedures, including assessment of functional capacity, occupational performance and the need for additional rehabilitation.
Implementation and development of occupational therapy to ensure evidence-based and good clinical practice to the admitted children and families.
Outpatients:
Systematic testing of premature infants when they reach 3 months, adjusted according to the corrected gestational age.
Assessment and treatment of eating disorders focusing on enhancing infant and parent abilities to engage in mealtime activity.
Investigation, assessment, and treatment of children with complex orthopedic and neurological symptoms, in close collaboration with specialist doctors.
Participation in the Danish clinical database for Cerebral Palsy (CPOP) consultations for children undergoing rehabilitation in the community.
Implementation and development of occupational therapy to ensure evidence-based and good clinical practice to the admitted children and families.
