Maria Swennergren Hansen, PT, MSc (physical therapy), PhD
Mrs. Swennergren Hansen is a postdoc. Her postdoc project focuses on physical activity and exercise among hospitalized patients following a hip fracture.

Birk Mygind Grønfeldt, PT, MSc

Mr. Grønfeldt is a PhD-student at the University of Copenhagen. His PhD is focused on whether patients benefit from attending exercise-based rehabilitation following total knee arthroplasty. This work is conducted in collaboration with orthopedic wards at Hvidovre and Næstved Hospitals as well as municipal rehabilitation centers in Hvidovre, Copenhagen, Næstved, Roskilde and Slagelse. Mr. Grønfeldt's PhD project is a collaboration between PMR-C, Clinical Research Department and CAG-ROAD.

Sofie Tscherning Lindholm, PT, MHSc

Mrs. Lindholm is a research assistant at the Department of Physical- and Occupational Therapy. She is currently planning her Ph.D., which will focus on developing, testing, and implementing a co-designed revised treatment protocol for patients hospitalized after hip fracture surgery, using the Medical Research Council's framework for complex interventions. By co-designing the intervention with stakeholders (patients, relatives, healthcare professionals and management) through workshops, focus groups, and tests, the research group will ensure the protocol is relevant, sustainable, and implementable, focusing on strategies that promote activity levels in patients. Additionally, the research group will develop a program theory explaining how the optimized treatment protocol is intended to affect clinical outcomes.

Mrs. Lindholm's Ph.D. project is a collaboration between the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and the Department of Physical- and Occupational Therapy.​
