30. April 2026:
Triple poster presentation at Amager & Hvidovre Hospital's Research Day
Postdoctoral researcher Juliette Tavenier and PhD students Magnus Berglind and Line Fleischer Hach presented their latest findings on plasma biomarkers of biological aging, inflammation profiles and disease risk in the general population, and the effects of fisetin on diet- and aging-induced senescence and inflammation in mice.

New publication: Plasma Proteomic Profiling of Young and Older Adults Identifies Candidate Biomarkers of Biological Aging at the Intersection of Age and Disease
In this study, led by Juliette Tavenier, we used high-throughput plasma proteomics to identify candidate biomarkers of biological aging linked to both chronological age and disease burden. By profiling more than 5,400 plasma proteins in young adults, healthy older adults, and recently hospitalized older patients, we identified 311 proteins associated with biological aging processes shared across aging and chronic disease. The findings highlight both established and novel biomarkers with potential relevance for risk stratification and interventions targeting unhealthy aging. Read more here in Aging Cell.
