In the operative notes you can find information about the exact type of operation that has been performed.

How do I prevent infection?

  • Avoid bathing in tub, swimming pool and seawater until the vaginal bleeding has stopped and/or threads have been removed.
  • Avoid sexual intercourse without condom until the vaginal bleeding has stopped and/or threads have been removed.
  • Use sanitary towels instead of tampons.

Pain after the operation

  • The tablets you have bought at the pharmacy will be sufficient to relieve the pain in most cases.
  • At the next page you can read more about the pain-relieving tablets.
  • If you experience severe pain, you should see a doctor.

Bandage

If an adhesive plaster has been put on the wound you can remove it after 24 hours.

Removal of threads
