About Sygeplejefaglig ForskningsEnhed (SFE)/The Research Unit of Orthopedic Nursing

Read more about our purpose, research topics and organization.

The Research Unit of Orthopedic Nursing is an evidence- and knowledge generating research unit that focuses on patient-centered care of the orthopedic patient.

The unit is responsible for research, supervision - and teaching of the orthopedic nurses who are involved in a mono- or multi-disciplinary development or research project based on clinical issues related to the orthopedic patient.

Our research profile is inspired by action research as a method which allows research and development simultaneously and thus in close cooperation between the clinical field and the research unit.

Research topics

  • Management and organization, including learning in practice
  • Clinical Research and Development

We aim at a high degree of user involvement in the projects and our perception of evidence includes segments from classic science as well as from human- and social sciences. This gives a wide perspective of understanding what is at stake for people in sickness and in health and for people working at the hospital. Research is conducted locally, nationally and internationally.
