The Gastro unit, Hvidovre University Hospital has the following qualifications:
- EUS-guided transmural drainage of pseudocysts (with and without infection)
- ERCP for diagnostics and treatment of main pancreatic duct rupture, stenosis orfistula,, biliary duct stenosisproblems for example. by transpapillary stenting (both plastic- or metal stents)
advanced EUS – diagnostics, biopsi, puncture
ESWL for lithotripsy of obstructive, intraductal calcifications in the main pancreatic duct
cholangioscopy – for intraductal diagnostics and treatment (i.e. electrohydraulic stone lithotripsy) in the biliary and pancreatic duct
Interdisciplinary cooperation with local microbiologists and pharmacists to optimise the antibiotic treatment, endocrinologists to optimize the control of the blood, dietitians and nutritionists, physiotherapists to optimize the physical performance and rehabilitation during the hospital stay
Gastroenterological semi-intensive observation department (GIO) and the intensive care unit for supportive care of the patients with organ failure (respirator, cardiovascular support, dialysis)
- 3 stationary bed departments for the treatment of the more stable patients.
