The strategic research areas were established at Copenhagen University Hospital, Hvidovre and Amager:
- Optimizing patient treatment
- Inflammation and biomarkers
- Colon cancer
- Liver associated diseases
- Obesity
- Imaging
2012
The strategic research areas were evaluated by a committee assigned by the Research Council, and in November they were re-organized into 5 strategic research areas based on research competences, results and focus areas:
- Functional and biomedical imaging
- Chronic inflammation
- Infections
- Lifestyle diseases
- Optimizing patient treatment
2013 –
The present research areas reflect that Copenhagen University Hospital, Hvidovre and Amager is an emergency department hospital with a strong focus on widespread diseases. Our activities range from primary research to clinical trials, register research and implementation research. Our strength also lies in cross-sectorial and public-private cooperation.
Our present strategic research areas will be evaluated in 2015 due to the dynamic nature of science:
- Functional and biomedical imaging
- Chronic inflammation
- Infections
- Lifestyle diseases
- Optimizing patient treatment
The research areas are characterized by their international activities and well established structures.
