The overall aims of the research into obesity are to:

Gain insight into the mechanism of gastric bypass on type 2 diabetes
Investigate the Impact of obesity on glycemic control
Study the interaction between obesity, metabolism and inflammation
Identify passways and intervene against obesity related development of disease

What is going on

We are currently conducting research from molecular physiology and pathophysiological aspects of clinical diabetology to clinical intervention studies.

Visions

To generate and implement new knowledge for the improvement of treatment and care of patients with metabolic disorders.
